NRBPS Kohima celebrates Hindi Diwas

Kohima, September 19 (MExN): Nagaland Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti (NRBPS) Uchchatar Vidyalaya, Kohima celebrated Hindi Diwas on September 15 at its auditorium with Zakienei Khoubve, Hindi Language Officer (HLO), DSE Kohima as chief guest and Dr. BP Philip, Hindi-Coordinator as the chairman of the function.

Zakienei said that NRBPS has been propagating Hindi for the last 15 years. In Nagaland, Hindi Diwas was celebrated for the first time in 1994 by the Hindi Teachers Union at Baptist High Kohima. Since then different organizations have been celebrating Hindi Pakhwara (Week) throughout the state along with the country.

“Hindi is not a language related only to a particular region, religion or community. It is official national language for every Indian, due to its nature the early propagators of Hindi were from non-Hindi speaking background,” he added.   The chief guest also handed over the prizes to winners for their participation.
