Kohima, February 19 (MExN): The New Reserve Youth Organization (NRYO) today made an appeal to revoke the existing fare which was earlier fixed by the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) in the month of September, 2020 in view of the COVID-19 Pandemic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
NRYO in an appeal addressed to the President, All Nagaland Taxi Association and New Reserve Taxi Association stated, “the concerned taxis plying between New Reserve to BOC taxi stand (vice versa) which currently carry three occupants @Rs 50 per head maybe revoked back to Rs 30 increasing the occupancy to four per taxi.”
The organization stated that the appeal has been made “keeping in mind the need to cater to our public and while normal life has been resuming in all fronts for business establishments, schools, working professionals, daily wagers and common people alike.”
They also stated that the appeal is being put forward by the office with positive faith as to look into the grievances of the passengers since majority of them are school-going children and common people.
