Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd, for the first time has launched JLG scheme at Tuensang through Eletheros Christian Society (ECS), a leading NGO from Tuensang district on July 26 last. The scheme was launched by Lalam Doungel, GM (Cr) NSCB and letter of credit were handed over to 178 beneficiaries. The scheme is meant for the poor farmers and micro enterprise to improve the socio-economic condition of the rural people.
The program was chaired by V K Disong, Nodal Officer, Micro Finance, NSCB, other speakers who exhorted the beneficiaries were S Yemba Chang, Director, NSCB for Tuensang district, Bendangnungsang, AGM (Agri), NSCB, on behalf of the Bank and Chongsen, Program Manager and Bendangsonla, Co-ordinator, ECS on behalf of ECS. The ECS and beneficiaries thanked NSCB for introducing the scheme for the first time which they termed as a mile stone in the development initiatives taken in the district.
