DIMAPUR, SEPT 27 (MExN): Making a clarification on a news item of a national daily reproduced in this paper, the NSCN (I-M) today said portions of the report were misconstrued.
The model of a solution to the Indo-Naga problem would be such that if a solution is arrived at it will be incorporated into the Naga and Indian constitutions, MIP Deputy Kilonser of the organization Kraibo Chawang informed over phone.
“When we talk of the framework it would refer to the model solution pertaining to the new relationship.” He said he had discussed the news with NSCN (I-M) General Secretary Thuingaleng Muivah who conveyed that part of the report was misconstrued.
Chawang reiterated the General Secretary’s insistence that a solution within the Constitution or Union of India is “simply not acceptable.”
