Dimapur, January 18 (MExN): The Publicity Cell “NSCN” has termed as desperate attempt the move of the “Hebron gangsters to malign the image of GPRN/NSCN” and atted that this has met once again with the “rocky landing with recent kidnapping” of PEBSCON engineer at Dimapur on the evening of 16th January 2008 led by Lt. Col Elijah Tangkhul of Hebron Camp and one Sumi youth, son of Kiyelho of Lumami Village.
“While all such criminal activities are being carried out by Hebron members in the name of Naga nationalism in order to confuse and mislead the Nagas and to disrupt on going Naga unification process by pointing fingers to GPRN/NSCN, the truth is bound to surface and so it has”, the Publicity Cell stated and asked the Law enforcing agency in the State to apprehend and prosecute the culprits at an earliest.
It is also clarified that on 8th January 2008 one Sgt. Maj. Qhevishe an attendant of Zhehoto, Tatar, Hebron Camp, while attempting to bomb Kwality restaurant injured himself and that witnesses to this incident are Akai Sumi nephew of Maj. Vikato and Botoka, nephew of the bomber who were accomplice on that evening.
“The confessional statement of Qhevishe to Dimapur police of his act in itself is an evidence. Where as repeated accusation directed at Maj. Vikato of the act is nothing but a frustrated attempt to cover up their criminality”, it stated.
