Dimapur, January 19 (MExN): Notwithstanding the ongoing “unification” process, the NSCN-IM has cautioned against losing the hard-earned political status of the Indo-Naga political talks. If it is lost, the Naga people would not be able to forgive, an MIP issue stated.
“…knowing too well that the Nagas will not forgive them if the hard-earned Naga political status under the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks is to be sold to India for a price only few could benefit. But history of nation in the making will be lost in the process” the NSCN-IM stated. It reiterated that this is the crux of the issue and not the question of who is for Naga unification and who is against Naga unification. “The sinister game plan to weaken the NSCN is therefore conspired with the blessing of New Delhi and processed in a very diabolical manner” it observed.
The NSCN-IM also expressed displeasure that the government of India is ‘refusing to act on the illegal camp of the unification group at Vihokhu as it involved the NSCN-K also.’ The outfit maintained that despite the unfolding facts of the Vihokhu camp as the epicenter of all kidnapping programs, the centre and its armed forces is going slow for obvious reasons of shaping the unification and NSCN-K factions’ combined forces against the NSCN.
“If the state security agencies now at the dispel of state Governor are at all serious or concern about the deteriorating law and order situation in Dimapur, things should start in right direction by earnestly going into the investigation on the abduction case of PEBSCON engineer wherein NSCN name has been falsely implicated: let the people and God be the judge as the drama unfolds its true color and in the right perspective” it added.
The NSCN-IM reiterated that ever since the infamous unification move was initiated by Western Sumi Hoho and Sumi Hoho using a section of Sumi national workers in the NSCN-IM with the dismissed Kilo Kilonser Azheto Chophy as the ring leader, kidnapping for ransom in terms of crores has been the daily affair in Dimapur. “To fill up the coffer to promote their highly conspiratorial unification program this shortcut money collection was executed and to the indignation of the public the kidnapping spree goes on with impunity; preaching and calling the Nagas to participate in the unification by the professed unification leaders but setting off its boys to kidnap the businessmen and others with potential source of money”, it stated.
Terming this as nothing but criminalization of Naga unification issue, the NSCN-IM stated that this was “an abominable crime and only to be committed by persons with anti-social mindset” and that “these are the Nagas who have the temerity to cal for Naga unification but exercise no abhorrence to go for social crimes of high degree”. It also pointed out that when the NSCN-IM cadres are enticed with lakhs of rupees to join the unification group and still bigger amount is offered for defecting with arms, it becomes “obvious why they are in hurry to go for kidnapping” and stated that “unification call on the basis of falsehood and criminalization will only invite the wrath of God”.
