NSCN (IM) lashes out at state govt ‘inaction’

Dimapur, January 20 (MExN): In a hard hitting statement issued to the media today, the MIP, NSCN (IM) once again accused the state government of having refused to act and has alleged that “its hands are involved in the scheme of things to weaken the NSCN”.

The statement recounted stating that “never was the betrayal to the Naga cause expected at this time of the Indo-Naga political talks that has crossed ten years but for the long hands of the government this was made to happen using the most vulnerable lots in the NSCN civil set-up.”

“From the day the noise of the infamous unity initiative started the true colour and cheap thinking of the few national workers and members of some civil societies professing to be somebody in the Naga national movement was exposed and what followed thereafter was a cruel deception,” the MIP statement noted.

The statement also explained that by “forcibly trying to push forward, the obsessive national agenda of unification met its doom due to the reason of undermining the national sentiments that constitute the essence of the national principle that has withstood the test of time under trying circumstances, has its effect again as the false preachers of Naga unification failed to make the desired impact.”

Asserting that “in the ultimate analysis of the individuals who chose the back door policy in the name of the Naga issue (and) of the magnitude of Naga unification, the tag of defection from Khaplang group was found attached with almost all the members who played the damning role,” it stated.

The statement further remarked that “at the end of the day it was cleared beyond doubt that ‘birds of the same feather’ has decided to gather at the behest of the Indian Intelligent agencies to wreak another blow to the Naga issue that has refused to bow down to the wishes of the Indian negotiators during the last ten years of Indo-Naga political talks.”

It also alleged stating “that was the reason why the unification team members rushed to Delhi to listen to their bosses on how to impress the Nagas with their deceptive program.

But sensing the premature failure to fool the Nagas on ‘unification’ every thing that followed in the name of unification was laid in a very diabolic manner and repugnant to the general feeling of the Nagas at large.”

Further it noted that “exploiting the humble bearing emanating from the NSCN authority, belligerent was the changing attitude that took the form of kidnapping, arms capturing, waylaying and deceiving”. “Having criminalized the Naga issue, it followed by commercialization as huge amount of money was offered to those willing to defect to their side. Going further, out of turn promotion to higher rank was also promised. Special offer was extended for the defectors with arms. Naturally, this is all about kidnapping for ransom that has amounted to crores of rupees” the statement alleged.

The MIP statement asserted that only “moral integrity will come as a rescuing force” since “the plan of the power and money mongers as already laid naked before the public”. The statement concluded by reaffirming that “the faithful national workers will not be found wanting in displaying their morality to save the nation from the hands of the traitors”.
