NSCN (IM) leaders mourn Limachuba Jamir

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) Chairman, Q Tuccu and General Secretary, Th Muivah have mourned the demise of Limachuba Jamir, member of the Collective Leadership, NSCN in New Delhi. He hailed from Sungratsü village. 

It was stated in a press note that Limachuba Jamir joined the Naga National Movement in the year 1997 and has served the Naga Nation in various important capacities such as CAO/Caretaker-Ao Region, Kilonser to Ministry of Chaplee Affairs and had been a Member of the Collective Leadership till his last breath. 

Tuccu in his condolence message said, “Across the years of his service to the Naga nation we have seen him giving hope and inspiration to his community and that is what counts the most for any revolutionary freedom fighter.” He said that the vacuum created by his demise would be difficult to fill. “Today, we pay tribute to him for giving his best for the cause of the Naga nation.”

“During his 25 years of selfless service to the Naga nation, he has proved himself as a true son of the soil. His name will descend to posterity as one who possessed a strong conviction about the historical and political rights of the Naga people and contributed his everything to stand by it till the last moment of his life,” Tuccu stated. 

Expressing “collective solidarity” to his wife and family members, he also prayed, “May God give them the courage and strength, at this hour of grief” and pray for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

Th Muivah in his condolence note stated that Jamir joined ‘the national service with full commitment and conviction. In all the responsibilities shouldered upon him, he executed them in his best and in the satisfaction of all.’ 

“In the later part of his journey, he was directly involved in the Indo-Naga Political Talk as a member of the Talk team since 2018. His role in the talk team was very instrumental. His dedication, commitment and the set of principles he had exhibited in the short journey of his life shall be engraved in the history of the Naga struggle and the legacy shall be remembered in all times,” he added. 

“I believe that his legacy, his life, will be an inspiration to younger generations to come. The void that he left us by the departure can never be filled or be replaced by anyone. We shall miss him dearly. With the people of the Naga Nation, I share my grief and offer prayers to the Almighty God to comfort the family and his loved ones,” Muivah conveyed while praying for the departed soul to “finds his eternal rest.”
