Dimapur, February 14 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) on Sunday responded to Nagaland Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi’s presentation of the Naga case in the Parliament, stating that it had left “much to be regretted.”
In a statement issued by its MIP, the NSCN (IM) took exception to the usage of terms like “underground” and “militants”. Stating that historical and political dynamics were missing in the presentation, the NSCN (IM) also noted that “… he could not even quote the correct date of the signing of the historic Framework Agreement.”
“To say the least, his failure to do proper homework left the Naga people seething with righteous anger,” it added. It may be mentioned that the MP had raised the Indo-Naga issue during the zero hour in the budget session on February 12.
