DIMAPUR, OCT 29 (MExN): With regard to Akato Chophy statement who had defected to NSCN (K) and called himself as a torch bearer of the Nagas, the NSCN (IM) has clarified the following statement as to why Akato was defected to NSCN (K). The NSCN (IM) in a release stated that the reason for Akato’s defection to the Khaplang group was only because he was not given the luxury that he expected. It was also mentioned that Akato was not given the responsible charge as CAO/UTI as he will not do justice to the responsible given to him “The saying that ‘empty vessel make more noises’ seems to suit the so called Akato’s propaganda when he foolishly exposed in the media that he is and will be the torch bearer of the Nagas,” a release stated. But have he himself examine that he himself is not a reliable person, how can a man of such be the torch bearer of the Nagas, whose mind is full of corrupt and sick,” the NSCN (IM) questioned. “Akato was in the past misuse the fund of the government and always avoided the service expected from the national worker. People lika Akato who is very materialistic find himself in the wrong platform of the GPRN where wealth, fame, power are included in its chapter. We the GPRN have no need for people like Akato, now and in the future for the GPRN needs those who are true and committed for the cause of the nation,” a release added.
