NSCN-IM responds to Wangtin Naga

Dimapur, Oct 26 (MExN): The NSCN-IM, responding to NSCN-K Deputy Kilonser Wangtin Naga, stated that with regard to unity and reconciliation Th Muivah sent men to Gen Kholi in 1989 “just after one year of the split for reconcile”.

“Coming to unity, reconciliation and Indo-Naga political talk etc had Th Muivah not sent men to Kholi 1989 just after one year of split for reconcile? That is 1990 when church workers called men from all organizations to pray together?” questioned Alem Konyak, Tatar, NSCN-IM in a rejoinder. “On the question of Indo-Naga political talk we have clear answer. We never do anything secretly. It is understood to all Nagas, all Indian even to the world bodies. We never stop anyone or any organization from talking separately provided they are mandated by the people” he stated.

The Tatar while advising against quoting holy words of the Bible to serve political ends, asked “why count only those who were given capital punishment by the NSCN/GPRN but not those who sacrificed their lives for the nation in the hands of both occupationists and cooperators?”

The Tatar asked who would be held responsible for the killing of T Sakhrie in 1959 for his opinion on non-violent ‘method’, Dr Imkongliba for statehood and others. “Were those also led by Isak and Muivah? What about the countless killings of the true nationalist forces by the combine forces of Shillong accordists and Indian armed forces since 1978 till now? What about the killings of nearly three hundreds of the true Naga nationalists by Indian and Burma-backed Khaplangs, irrespective of tribes in 1988. Were there not Kilonsers, Deputy Kilonsers and Deputy C-in-C who have died?” he asked adding that to educate a “highly schooling educated man” but “a little knowledge man” like Wangtin Naga would take “another couple of years”.
