NSCN-IM thank JWO for gesture of kindness

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): Jotsoma Women Organization (JWO) is thanked by the NSCN-IM for ‘living up to the Naga tradition of showing the dignity to the human being even at the last moment before the dead bodies leave this world.’ The outfit was referring to the September 8 killing of four NSCN-IM functionaries, and a wife of one of those among the killed.

“What an act of kindness and honor for the Jotsoma Women Organization to have covered the blood-soaked dead bodies of NSCN members with the traditional Angami shawls. Among the dead bodies there is a woman like any other members of the Jotsoma women Organization. But beyond this she happened to be not just woman but a mother of four young children, now left motherless and fatherless” a note of gratitude from the NSCN-IM MIP stated. Referring to the four orphaned children of the killed mother, the outfit stated: “In the growing life of children the heart of a mother can never be compensated. It is left to human imagination why at least some human decency was not maintained to spare the mother.”

The MIP also mentioned that Esther Chishi Swu, the lady wife of NSCN-IM Chairman Isak Chishi Swu could hardly hide her emotion as she poured out her tearful emotion on the day of condolence meeting at GHQ Church. “Because she also happened to be a mother like Mrs. Maireila” the MIP stated adding “Khaplang group’s killing was travesty of mother’s dignity. Criminals and any human being are brought of a mother. And it is therefore a damning act of inhuman decency of kill a mother.”

“Thank you JWO for giving decency to the bodies, and giving dignity to them before their final departure from the earth. May you be blessed by God, and be a torch bearer in safeguarding women’s dignity” the NSCN-IM stated.
