Dimapur, January 17 (MExN): Taking note of what it stated is the “prevailing situation” in the state and the “belligerent activities of Isak Swu and Th.Muivah,” the NSCN-K today directed all its cadres to be on maximum alert. A note from the outfits’ MIP stated that instructions have been issued by “the president.” The “military commanders” of the outfit’s ‘PAN’ are to keep their cadres on maximum alert “to face any challenges from anti-peace and unity reactionaries.” It further directed that as issued by its chairman, SS Khaplang, “all the civil functionaries of regions of the NSCN/GPRN, to gather at their respective regions, wherever possible, at the central office of GPRN for all the central govt. functionaries at the earliest possible time, except for those who had already been deputed as the NSCN/GPRN representatives of the unification camp to work along with the likeminded leaders of the unity and reconciliation of the Naga groups.”
