NSCN-K (Nikki Group) cautions impersonator

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Nikki Group) on Wednesday informed that one Maj Matho Angami, of Bara Basti, NSCN (R) 2 IC, Kohima Town Command has been “indulging in unlawful activities using a forged official pad and signature of top military officials of the NSCN/GPRN.”

In a press release issued through its MIP, the NSCN-K (Nikki Group) said that last year, it received “first hand report of the said person imposing and collecting taxes in and around Kohima Town from business establishments in the name of NSCN/GPRN.” Upon the subsequent inquiry, he was found guilty and was cautioned that stern action would be taken should he continue defaming the government.

However, the person has persisted in indulging in unlawful activities which are detrimental to the National Yezhabo and turned a deaf ear to the government warnings, it said. “He is found to be using self-printed duplicate pad of the NSCN/GPRN Government which, in no way match with the official pad of the government or the department concerned,” it added.

As such, the NSCN/GPRN stated that it has no other option but to take its own course of action against the person. Stating that it has “certain proof of his unlawful activities,” it requested all the concerned groups/parties to view his anti-social activities as intentional and wilful defilement to tarnish the image of the government, and cautioned that the NSCN/GPRN would be compelled to take severe action against him as per the Ahza of the government.
