Nominal tax shall continue till Nagas achieve sovereignty

Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The NSCN (K) today informed that as a People’s Revolutionary Government it levies “only nominal and negligible amount/taxes from all the Govt. related works and this trend shall continue till Nagas achieve sovereignty from the occupational forces.” 

In a press statement issued by the MIP secretary, the NSCN (K) stated that it “shall continue this negligible/small amount of nominal taxes from all the corners of the Naga country.” Furthermore, while expressing its respect for the apex student bodies’ (i.e., NSF & ENSF) concern for the people in general and the students in particular, the NSCN (K) said it cannot exempt any particular department (particularly Education & Medical). It requested them to understand the “NSCNs problem as a people’s revolutionary Govt, so as to avoid any misunderstandings, misgivings and complications in the near future.”NSCN (K) notifies

In another statement, the NSCN (K) today stated that in view of the many complaints from various corners, the NSCN (K) has issued this notification that henceforth, “no transaction involving monetary matters of the NSCN K shall be dealt by anyone other than the Chaplee Secretary assigned by the NSCN Govt.”

In a press release issued by the Chaplee Secretary, Sangso Mongzar Naga, the NSCN (K) stated that “all Commissioner & secretaries, Secretaries, Directors and all Heads of Departments (HODs) that any monetary matters relating to the NSCN K shall be done only through proper channels in order to avoid any complications, misunderstandings and other sorts in the future.” While requesting all to take note of this order, it said that authorized officials should be contacted only as and when need arises.
