NSCN (K) questions rival’s motive

DIMAPUR, DEC 1 (MExN): The NSCN (K) has questioned the motive of the NSCN (IM) in concealing one’s own comrade who gets killed in the factional feud. “We do not pursuit glory in killing own Naga comrades in the rival camp. Is it ethically correct to conceal own Naga compatriot’s dead bodies in the jungle unnoticed like animal carcass? Why not allow the dear and near ones to at least perform last rites”, stated a press note issued by ‘Brig.’ Niki Sumi, ‘Commander, Operation “Blue Land”, People’s Army of Nagaland.’

Alleging that the most recent incident of concealment was one NSCN (IM) cadre who was shot death on the spot at point blank range and one grievously injured (whose fate is yet to be known) at factional skirmish on the night of November 29 at Zunheboto outskirt.

“Whoever it is, high or low, every death cadre while in the line of duty deserves full military condolence honor. Why deviate from what you proclaim? Is such action not in contravention to your group’s highly professed ethics of war?” the NSCN (K) questioned.
