NSCN-K stays out of Tikhir-Yimchunger imbroglio

Dimapur, Dec 29 (MExN): The NSCN-K has issued a directive to its ‘administrative and military wings’ to desist from involving or interfering in the ongoing dispute between the Tikhirs and the Yimchungers over land and tribal identity. A directive from NSCN-K ‘Home Affairs’ Deputy Kilonser Y Wangtin Naga stated this comes into affect owing to the land ownership dispute over Shamator town and its surrounding areas between the communities of Tikhir and Yimchunger tribes. “The GPRN can never ever discriminate any tribes or group of genuine Nagas on any ground. Under the impartial accommodative arrangement, the GPRN strongly directs all its administrative and military wings both under Yimchunger and Tikhir communities to refrain from their involvement/interference either individually or on GPRN’s behalf as it is being a tribal issue” stated the note. It warned that ignoring this directive would amount to breaking ‘GPRN’s Accommodative Law’ and would invite ‘punitive action’.
