DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 23 (MExN): NSCN-K has hit out at political leaders for using ‘Naga political problem’ or “Naga political solution as agenda of their election campaign,” with a dire warning not to cheat or bluff the Nagas anymore. Saying that the Naga political leaders were mostly impostors and traitors, the NSCN-K declared “enough is enough”.
The underground group has especially thumped Chief Minister Rio, saying that he has unmistakably proved himself as the ‘worst and most dangerous leader’ of the Nagas and also banged Opposition Leader Imkong for reinforcing Rio’s harmful policy and supporting his ‘sell-out’ policies in his lust for power.
Recounting the fall of SC Jamir from power, when he had been accused of undermining and betraying the political rights of the Nagas by proclaiming himself as an Indian national, the NSCN-K said that the new government under Neiphiu Rio was formed. According to the NSCN K, Rio was even worse as he was selling not only Naga rights to the Indian Union but also selling all social, economic and political rights of the Nagas of Nagaland to the neighbouring states.
The NSCN K also, highlighting the accomplishments of AZ Phizo, said that though he had joined the Naga organization late, Phizo had been a firebrand leader of the Naga movement. Phizo had first tried to sell his political idea to the ‘so-called’ Manipur Nagas, but there had been no takers after which he approached the Khasis of Mehghalaya, who too did not respond. Lastly Phizo had preached his political ambition for the Nagas to the people of “eastern Nagaland” and they had enthusiastically accepted his idea.
But the NSCN-K said that Rio had completely betrayed the legacies of his Angami predecessors like A Z Phizo, T Sakhrie, Kevichüsa, Visar, Khriensanisa, JB Jasokie etc. The faction questioned as to who among the Nagas is to be trusted and relied upon by the Nagas and who would salvage the Nagas and emancipate the nation from turmoils and confusions.
