NSF demands expediting Indo-Naga political solution

Kohima, December 15 (MExN): Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) in its second Federal Assembly has questioned the sincerity of the parties involved in the Indo-Naga political talks, particularly Indian government, and demanded an “expedited solution” that is honourable and acceptable to the people.

A press statement from NSF said that the house had prolonged deliberation on the Indo-Naga political dialogues and agreed that “the Federation as a premiere organization of the youth and those who will inherit the future must view with all seriousness and implore positively to safeguard the future of our people bringing in sight the more than two decades of the peace process but the lack of reaching a logical conclusion.”

With regard to the Nagaland State political scenario, “which directly or indirectly reflects the overall Naga political projection,” the house viewed “with utter consternation of the frequent fracas defection and horse trading by the so-called elected Representatives, devoid of any ethics or principles,” the statement from NSF President Kesosul Chrictopher Ltu and Speaker Amonbo Zeliang added.
