Phek, September 3 (MExN): The first Federal Assembly of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) for the tenure 2019-21 hosted by the Chakesang Student Union (CSU) was held at Zhavame Village, Phek on August 29.


The assembly kicked off with the unveiling of the monolith at Zhavame Students’ Union (ZSU) View Point, Kapamodzu Range by Ninoto Awomi, President NSF, in the presence of Rite Khutsoh, Speaker NSF, informed a press release by NSF.


It proceeded with an invocation by Sarhunyi John Krocha, Catechist, Zhavame Village and the August House was declared open by the Speaker, Rite Khutsoh. 


“The agendas that was tabled before the House ranged from backdoor appointment, Indo-Naga Political Talk, proper implementation of ILP in the State and in its entirety, review of Tuli Paper Mill and Wazeho Cement Factory among other issues and after a successful discussion and business hour, the Assembly was adjourned sine die,” the release informed.


 It also stated that prior to the Federal Assembly scheduled to be held at 11:00 am, the Village Council of Zhavame organized a civic reception programme at the village Amphitheatre on August 30.


An elaborate ceremony seasoned with traditional itineraries was held in honor of the welcomed guests where Ninoto Awomi and Lavoto, President CSU, delivered short messages on behalf of the Federation and the CSU as host of the first Federal Assembly NSF 2019-21, the release added.


The Assembly was attended by all the 17 Federating Units of NSF, 4 sub-ordinate units and 3 delegates from the Eastern Naga Students’ Association, Myanmar.
