NSF wants departmental examination postponed

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): In connection to the departmental examination published on 30th November 2017 via notification no. FD/EST-1/MISC/2014-15, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Wednesday said the window period given to students to apply for the post was too less.

In a representation addressed to the Minister of School Education, the NSF stated that the window period of six days given to apply for the post was practically impossible for the students, majority of whom were staying in remote areas.

Moreover, the advertisement was not widely published and was not uploaded in the state portal which is the main source of information for aspirant students, the Federation lamented.

he Federation, taking the larger interest of the students and to give all the aspirant a fair chance to appear for the examination, has appealed the education minister to “kindly postpone the proposed examination schedule on December 16 and give more time to the students to apply.”

In the event of failure to postpone the exam as requested, the Federation cautioned that it would be compelled to initiate action against “such randomly initiated procedure of examination.”

“We would be forced to stop the department from conducting suspicious examination if the reasonable demand is not heeded,” it said.
