KOHIMA, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): The Nagaland Speech & Hearing Professionals Association (NSHPA), an organization committed to the advancement of speech, language, and hearing professions, hosted an outreach program at Bright Morning Star Children Home (BMSCH) on October 2.
According to a press release issued by NSHPA, the event aimed to enhance awareness and provide screening services related to speech and hearing disorders. The program was led by a dedicated team of eight professionals leading the session and the primary objective of this visit was to provide valuable information on speech and hearing disorders, conduct screening tests, interact with the staffs and children of BMSCH and offer guidance on managing any identified issues.
This initiative is part of NSHPA’s broader mission to promote awareness, advocate for better services, and support both emerging and experienced professionals in the field, the press release maintained.
Through this outreach, NSHPA sought to contribute positively to the community by addressing speech and hearing disorders early, thereby improving the quality of life for individuals affected by these conditions, it added.
