Kohima, March 16 (MExN): The NSLSA Helpline number was launched by Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), Member Secretary, Victo Sema, NJS during a short formal programme at the state office in Kohima in the presence of project officials on March 16.

The toll free number is being operated at the NSLSA Office, informed a press release issued by PRA, NSLSA. For toll free assistance, beneficiaries can dial into +91 1800 345 3883.

The Member Secretary informed that the Helpline number has been initiated to enable common people across the state and interior region covering rural areas to reach out for legal aid and services through the toll free number.

The free legal services entail the provision of free legal aid in civil and criminal matters for those poor and marginalized people who cannot afford the services of a lawyer for the conduct of a case or a legal proceeding in any court, tribunal or before an authority.

Free legal services also include provisions of aid and advice to beneficiaries to access the benefits under the welfare statuses and schemes framed by the central or the state government and to ensure access to justice in any other manner.
