The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Limited (NStCB) has set up Mobile ATM at the ongoing Hornbill Festival of Nagaland at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
One can access this Mobile ATM throughout the festival. It is located near Bamboo Hall, Kisama.
Mentionably, this Mobile ATM was launched in commemoration of the golden jubilee celebration of NStCB earlier this year.
The NStCB since its inception in 1967 has been providing banking network to the people of the state through 21 branches.
This bank was conceived with the twin objectives of putting in place a banking system that encompasses the cooperative principles and also a financial system that is friendly to the customs and traditions of the people of Nagaland.
The objective of NStCB is to put in place a financial system that is friendly to the customs and traditions of the people, to promote the economic interests of the shareholders of the bank in accordance with cooperative principles, to venture into new frontiers of restructuring the financial infrastructure for a backward and underdeveloped tribal people, to provide financial assistance in the form of loans to the rural poor particularly the farmers, cooperators, artisans, trades & commerce and work toward their upliftment, especially women, to grant loans to cooperative institutions, registered under the Cooperative Societies Act, to grant loans to individuals, cooperative bodies, firms, recognized self-help groups and business concerns engaged in development of agriculture, plantations, small scale industries and other diversified activities etc.etc.
