‘GHS Noksen functioning without Head Master since 2016’
Tuensang, March 12 (MExN): The Noksen Students’ Union (NSU) submitted a memorandum to the Principal Director, Department of School Education (DOSE) on March 12.
M Y Chusa, President, NSU and Y Moanungsang Chang stated in the release that, “The Government managed institutions at GHS Noksen is quite unpropitious.”
Stressing that proper administrative functioning, well-qualified and comprehensive teachers are a must in any educational institution, the union rued that “sadly it is not so in GHS Noksen.”
It added that, so far, the concerned authority has not addressed this matter despite several appeals and representations submitted to the Government.
Lamenting the “pathetic situation and the administration of the school,” the NSU stated that the GHS Noksen is functioning without a Head Master and an Assistant Head Master for more than four years.
It is also learnt that the teacher in-charge has been in charge of the school for many years, the NSU reported.
The union appealed to the department to arrange for a Head master and Assistant Head master to be present in the school before the end of March.
The union also mentioned that the department had deployed a Hindi teacher at GHS Noksen from DEO Tuensang but to its utter shock and surprise, the concerned teacher has not joined so far. It appealed for immediate action and investigation into the matter. The union further stated that GMS Noksen has been functioning without a Hindi teacher for the past three years, and that demands were made several times, “but the department has not paid any attention towards it.”
The union said that they are compelled to demand for immediate posting of Hindi Teacher at GMS Noksen.
It also appealed the government for the immediate re-deployment of those teachers who were transferred from Noksen.
The union said that it will be liable to take its own course of action without compromise until the matter is taken into consideration.
