NSVC to hold orientation on IVCA for state veterinary practitioners

Kohima, June 9 (MExN): The Nagaland State Veterinary Council (NSVC) is all set to organise the 1st State-Level Orientation Training Programme on Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and Regulations, on June 11 at the Zonal Council Hall, Kohima.

T R Zeliang, Minister for veterinary & animal husbandry, planning & coordination, evaluation and parliamentary affairs, will grace the inaugural function as the chief guest. Veterinary Council of India (VCI) president, Dr. A L Chaudhary, along with Secretary VCI, Dr. Anup Bhaumik, will act as resource persons. Commissioner and Secretary for veterinary & animal husbandry, Thangi Mannen, will also talk on animal husbandry activities in Nagaland.

The training is being conducted to equip veterinarians professionally with regard to ethics and regulations of the Indian Veterinary Council Act and improve and strengthen the profession in the state, according to NSVC president, Dr. L Shikikhe Sumi. All the registered veterinary practitioners (registered under NSVC) have been directed to attend the said training programme. Reporting and registration of the participants is to start from 9:00am to 10:00am at the venue, it was informed.
