DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 15 (MExN): The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy, and Direct Action Organization (NTPRADAO) reported on Saturday that it has been inundated with a significant volume of applications and inquiries from various civil society organizations (CSOs) regarding ongoing issues with the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scheme.
In a press statement, NTPRADAO President Phemching Konyak, Secretary Albert Kire, and State Executive Temjen Mar expressed their appreciation for the active participation of the public and CSOs in raising concerns. It acknowledged the urgency surrounding the matter and the public’s strong desire for a swift resolution.
However, the organization stressed the importance of conducting a thorough and systematic investigation to ensure both accuracy and fairness. While respecting the concerns raised and appreciate the trust placed in NTPRADAO, it emphasized the need to avoid jumping to conclusions before obtaining a comprehensive ground report. Government officials have already initiated a detailed inquiry, and it has therefore urged the public to remain patient as the investigation progresses.
Reaffirming its steadfast commitment to its mission of advocating for the marginalized sections of Naga society the NTPRADAO called on all right-thinking citizens to stand united in upholding public rights and ensuring transparency in governance.
"We remain resolute in our role as a platform for justice and accountability," the statement read, inviting all concerned individuals and organizations to join in safeguarding the rights and interests of the people. NTPRADAO assured the public that it will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as the investigation moves forward.
