NU SASRD celebrates 25th freshers’ social

Medziphema, September 6 (MExN): The Nagaland University: School of agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Medziphema Campus held its 25th freshers’ social on September 4. Professor Charles P. Alexander, Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University, Nagaland, graced the occasion as the special guest.

A press release said that the special guest in his speech said, “The right choice that we make and the adaptability to change make our life beautiful.” He encouraged the students to improve their ability to observe things so that they can develop something on their own. He advised the students to make the right decision in mind which will give direction towards the path of success.

Earlier, the welcome speech was delivered by Professor AK Makar, Dean, NU: SASRD followed by exhortation by Professor T. Lanusosang, Pro- Vice Chancellor, NU: SASRD.

Wenlang M Konyak, Wangpon Konyak and Kikruseto Kuotsu delivered speeches on behalf of freshers from B.Sc(Ag) Hons, M.Sc (Ag) and B.Voc respectively, while Hili K Zhimo B.Sc (Ag) Hons 3rd year delivered speech on behalf of the remaining students.

The programme was chaired by Bonikali V Awomi, President NU: SASRD, the Evangelical Union and Imtisanen Walling & friends enchanted the audience with their melodious songs. 

During cultural programme, Jamoah A Sangma and Vanlalnghaki were crowned Mr. and Ms. Freshers respectively.
