Nursing home receives Rs. 3,00,000/- demand note

Dimapur: Even as the drama relating to the extortion notice served to Dr Shurhozelie and two others at Kohima unravels, Dr. Temsü, the proprietor of Fellowship Nursing Home, Dimapur was served with a Demand Ahza (extortion note) dated October 8 and bearing Memo No.GPRN/T&CD/12. 

The note bears the signature of Major S Hriipunii Pou, Kilonser, Trade and Commerce, reportedly of the NSCN (K). The demand note, made available to The Morung Express, says, “You are hereby directed to submit a sum of Rs 3, 00,000/-(Rupees three lacs) only as per your sources of income for the year 2005 to the undersigned on or before 30th October 2005 without fail.” 

Further, Dr Temsü has been forewarned: “Failing to abide by the said Demand Ahza, the undersigned shall not be held responsible for any untoward consequences.” 

A copy of the extortion notice has also been addressed to the ‘operational commander’ of the outfit to take necessary action.
