Tuensang, August 26 (MExN): Distribution of nutritional requirements for children was carried out following the appraisal of DC Tuensang, Mohammad Ali Shihab, IAS with regard to nutritional requirements for HIV+ children under Antiretroviral Therapy (ART). 


A DIPR report stated that during his recent visit to Tuensang district, Minister for Higher and Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, TemjenImna Along handed over a sum of Rs. 70,000 /- to the Tuensang District Administration to provide for the nutritional requirements of 74 HIV+ children under ART in the District Hospital Tuensang (DHT).


The said nutritional components were procured and distributed at ART Centre in DHT on 24th August 2019 in the presence of Tuensang District Administration, DEF (Police), MS DHT, MO ART and President CKS.


Speaking on the occasion, Counsellor, ART Centre in DHT, Imjonglepa expressed gratitude to the District Administration led by the DC Tuensang and SDPO Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS for taking a keen interest in the plight of the 74 HIV+ children under ART and making immediate arrangement to provide for their nutritional requirement.


On behalf of the district administration EAC (HQ) Tshelhi-u NCS appraised the gathering that the nutritional requirements for the children has been made available due to the contribution of the Minister, TemjenImna Along during his recent visit during the Independence day celebrations. Also the MS of District Hospital Tuensang (DHT), Dr. Moa while hoping for a continued provision of the need for a concerted and cooperative effort from various stakeholders. 


SDPO DEF Tuensang, Dr. Pritpal Kaur IPS, EAC (P) Tuensang, N. Orenthung Kikon NCS, President CKS, Nungsanglemba Chang and MO ART Centre Tuensang, Dr. Toshi also spoke on the occasion.
