NVBDCP state monitoring team visits Wokha

Wokha, August 27 (MExN): The state monitoring team of NVBDCP led by Dr Temsula, State Program Officer (SPO) and Dr. Neisakuo, Deputy Director visited Wokha district on August 23. They toured Chukitong block and visited several health units for monitoring and supervision as well as reviewed programme implementations in the block. 


Later they attended the District Review Meeting of NVBDCP at CMO Conference Hall Wokha. All the NVBDCP staffs under the district along with Deputy CMO Dr. Zuben Kikon attended the meet and reviewed the malarial activities of NVBDCP under Wokha district. 


Dr Temsula, SPO emphasised on proper documentation and record maintenance for certification of free malaria as the time given by the programme to eliminate the disease by 2022 is just around the corner and the district cannot afford to be complacent because of the decrease of the cases in the last few years, but be vigilant to tackle the indigenous cases arising out and made the district free of transmission. She also stressed on the awareness of vector borne disease like Dengue, JE and its prevention to percolate down to all level of the district.
