Mission Antyodaya being a convergence framework, which aims at transforming the lives and livelihood of the rural people, Nagaland VDB Association, president, Tohoshe Awomi believed that this Mission will immensely benefit the state of Nagaland economically as well as developmentally.
Speaking at the event, Awomi expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Rural Development, GoI along with the ministries of Panchayat Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation in partnership with the state and local government for taking up this noble initiative for the benefits of the rural people and for always being rural friendly.
With the assertion of the central government that “improving the life of the people in rural areas being a non-negotiable agenda, he believed that even the state government will put an efforts towards improving accountability, outcome and convergence as per the aims of this campaign.
Also stating that the department of RD have been addressing many of the proportions of poverty at all times ensuring a better livelihoods and well being of poor households in rural areas in so many ways, he believed that this campaign will help reduce poverty and vulnerability of the rural poor and the very purpose of Mission Antyodaya, which aims to poverty free India by 2022 be achieved.
