Kohima, September 18 (MExN): The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) will be organizing a felicitation programme for Neiphretuo Zhünyü on September 19, 5:00 onwards at the Japfu Ashok Hotel, Kohima.
Zhünyü recently won a Bronze in ‘Belt Wrestling’ under 60 Kg- category at the recently concluded 3rd World Nomad Games 2018, Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
According to a press release issued by NWA General Secretary Vekhozo, the ceremony would be graced by Dr. Zale Neikha, Honble Advisor, Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland as the special guest. He will felicitate the bronze medallist Zhünyü as well as four other 4 participants.
The NWA President Neivikuolie Khatsu will also share the experience of participation at the Nomad Games. The release further invited all NWA officials, 2 representatives from its constituent units to be part of the ceremony. The NWA also extended its special invitation to Zhünyü’s family members.
NWA General Secretary Vekhozo will lead the ceremony while Rev. Iringtie Kauring, Pastor, Zeme Baptist Church, Kohima will offer the thanksgiving prayer. NWA former open Wrestling champion Surhoneyi Soho will proposed a closing prayer followed by dinner.
Meanwhile, the release also informed that the felicitation programme will be followed by an executive body meeting of the association.
