NWHD observes 52nd Rising Day

Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) celebrated its 52nd Rising Day on August 27 at Unity Hall, Naga Council Building. Vimeno Angami, Vice President NWHD, delivered the welcome address and Bino Kenye, President WCMA invoked God’s blessing in the programme. Khrieleno Theruja also spoke on the occasion. 

In her presidential address, Sungsabeni Jamio, President NWHD encouraged the Naga Women Hoho Dimapur to continue to uphold the vision of the Naga women pioneers who set forth to bring about social harmony and unity amongst the Naga women residing in Dimapur.

She also congratulated the KUDAB Village for achieving the NWHD goal of maintaining a clean environment by reducing the use of one time plastic and handed an award of appreciation to the village for making their village Plastic Free Zone.

A general meeting was held after the programme. Various agendas were discussed where the NWHD deliberated on amending and alterning various Articles in its Constitution. Vote of thanks was given by Mathetsu Nyuthe, treasurer NWHD.
