NYCS celebrates World Bio Fuel Day

Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): The National Yuva Cooperative Society (NYCS) celebrated the World Bio Fuel Day on August 12 at Town Hall, Dimapur with HK Khulu, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary Retd as chief guest.  

The resource person, Er Kiyeto Shohe, Power Department explained that bio fuel is produced through biological process such as agriculture, food waste recycling, and farm waste and sewage sludge.  

Bioethanol is an alcohol made by fermentation from the carbohydrates produced in sugar or starch crops such as corn and sugarcane and is used as fuel for vehicles and it also improves vehicle emissions as it does not create air pollutions and green diesel is produced through oil feedstocks such as vegetable oil and animal fats. Used vegetable oil is cleaned of water and all of its particulates and used as fuel and it works with all the old diesel engine that does not have electronic injection systems.
