Wokha, August 27 (MExN): Nyiro range comprising of seven villages under Wokha district has officially launched its common public forum named Nyiro Range Public Organisation (NRPO). The organization was launched on August 26 at Government High School, Nyiro Yanthamo village.
Yankhosao Ezung, Seasonal Chairman, Nyiro Range Public Organisation, speaking during the launch said, Nyiro range public has felt and need to have a common platform in order to have more peaceful coexistence, unity and usher friendship among the seven villages. The objective of the organization, he stated, is to work for economic uplift, to usher in development among the seven sister villages, and to take up social issues and activities. The chairman further asserted that the organisation did not have any political agenda and will not be pressured to work on political interest unlike other organisations.
Meanwhile, Yankhosao lamented that Nyiro range/area is one of the most undeveloped areas under Wokha district in aspects of link roads or any other governmental infrastructure. Therefore, he appealed to the area public in general for more cooperation to work for the future prospects.
The launching programme was reportedly attended by more than 1500 people from 10 units, including Nyiro Range Chairmen Union, Nyiro Range GBs Union, Nyiro Range VDB Secretaries, Nyiro Range Officers’ Union, Nyiro Range Students’ Union, Nyiro Range Youth Organisation, Wokha Town Nyiro Range Union, Kohima Town Nyiro Range Union, and Dimapur Area Nyiro Range Union.
