Officers' feedback sought on Comminitisation Act

MON, SEPTEMBER 27 (MExN): A consultative meeting for reviewing of Communitisation of Public Institutions & Services Act, 2002 was held at the DC’s conference hall, Mon on September 25. The meeting was led by Convenor, Review Panel, Banuo Z Jamir IAS (Rtd) and Member Secretary, John Lohe.

Jamir stated that the review is the first since the Act came into force. She highlighted that the review is being done through surveys on two levels, i.e. village level and departmental levels through questionnaires. She informed that 31 villages in Mon district have been selected for the survey based on their size, remoteness and proximity to the towns. 

Altogether, 320 villages have been selected for the survey in the State and the Panel Team has covered nine districts prior to Mon, Jamir added. 

Officers from District Administration, School Education, Health & Family Welfare, PHED, Social Welfare, Rural Development and Power Department deliberated on the impact of communitisaton. A questionnaire designed to review and re-examine the Communisation Act was presented and thereafter the officers were directed to submit their response online to reviewcomnact2002@gmail.com on or before October 15. 

Jamir urged the officers to give their frank and honest feedbacks.
