Dimapur, September 7 (MExN): The release of Alo Wanth’s first music album ‘Beautiful’, long awaited by a large number of people, finally made it on September 7. Geoffrey Yaden, Editor of Nagaland Post, released the album at a small gathering of Alo’s family and friends at Sinai Café, Dimapur. The album is produced by the Sinai Ministry and costs Rs.200.
Addressing the gathering at the release function, Yaden said, “Alo has a passion for praising God. He is not the best singer but sings with his soul and one cannot help but feel that he sings with his soul. Alo is a good example of consistency; who is also hardworking and very committed.”
“Today our society needs inner transformation to reform the society; we need to encourage each other. In all the professions, there is a need for each of us to be the ‘salt and the light’. We need role models who are useful to the society,” Yaden added.
“Just like the title ‘Beautiful’ suggests, all the songs are beautiful,” Theja Meru started his note while giving a review of the album. According to him, when there seems to be a drought in the field of gospel music, Alo’s album has brought in a breath of fresh air. Songs are well written; used the best musician, which is really appreciated. The quality is unmatched. It is of international quality and executed very well. Buy to confirm my words,” he said, reaffirming his review.
Talking about the lyrics of the song, Meru commented that they are not religious in content though it brings in Bible verses, bringing out his faith expression wisely brought out from his testimonial view and thus, he said, makes huge appeal even to non-Christians. “The lyrics talk about the human side,” he said. Theja Meru also pointed out that the art work and choreography are commendable and the standard of timing maintained through the album in all the songs is a huge bonus. “The real appeal lay in the fact that the album is simple but not simplistic, childlike but not childish. And because the music is great, its worth having it,” he added.
Earlier, welcoming the gathering, Wabang Longchari, the Director of Sinai Café, said that Alo’s music is something different which is appropriate for all ages. The programme earlier began with invocation by Rev. Methalo. A special song was presented by Alobo, who sang his own composition, while the benediction was said by Pastor Lee.
