Over 4000 avail service at differently abled assessment camp in Kiphire

Amidst the district being cut off from the rest of the world, the Kiphire District Administration has given hope to the citizens by organising differently abled assessment camp under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana scheme from July 25 till August 5 in fifteen different locations spread over the district.  

Speaking with this correspondent, Reny Wilfred IAS, SDO (C) Kiphire expressed happiness and gratitude to the persons involved in the camp. He mentioned especially about the efforts put by Dr Holiba Anar from Sitimi PHC to assistant towards the success of the camp.  

The SDO (C) disclosed that more than 4000 persons were screened out during the 15 days camp of which 1094 persons will be getting walking stick, hearing aid, tripod, elbow crutches, walkers wheelchair and spectacles worth more than 53 lakhs INR free of cost, from ALIMCO for anyone above the age of 60 and from AIDP for differently abled person below the age of 60.  

Assessing the outcome of the camp the SDO (C) added, landslide and road block has affected the camp a lot so to make everyone benefitted out of this similar camp will be organised in the month of September/October so that more are benefitted.
