Over Rs 11 crore sanctioned under Nirbhaya fund in Nagaland

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today informed that Rs 11, 36, 20, 880 has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Women & Child Development, GOI under Nirbhaya fund for Sakhi One Stop Centre scheme with effect from 2015-16 till date.

Replying this to MLA Chumben Murry on the floor of the House, Rio stated that 11 Sakhi-One Stop centre are functional in the state, one each in districts of Dimapur, Kohima, Kiphire, Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Peren, Phek, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto.

He informed that buildings for the centre at Dimapur and Kohima have been completed.

Meanwhile, Rio laid the Annual Administrative Reports 2020-21 of the departments of Sericulture, Women Resource Development, Art & Culture, Electrical Inspectorate, Food & Civil Supplies, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Water Resources and Department of Under Developed Areas.

Online ILP for tourist started functioning

The report stated that due to COVID-19 pandemic the online portal was temporary suspended by the Government in March 2020.

However, with the state- reopening for tourism in the last week of December, the online portal has again started functioning.

The report stated that the present system of Online ILP has eased the procedure for obtaining ILP to domestic tourist especially during the month of December 2019.

There has been a sharp rise in the number of tourist opting for online ILP as the time period for ILP approval could be made within 24 hours and hence, helping them in scheduling their visit to the state and other districts.

General law and order peaceful in Nagaland

The general law and order scenario in Nagaland has been peaceful except for some incidents in certain parts of the state. This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2020-21 of Home Department tabled on the floor of the House by Home Minister Y Patton. The report stated that the active intervention by the administration with the assistance of the police has been ensured that such localized incidents have not mushroomed into larger issues.
