Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): The case regarding the assault on one Pothita Vamuzo by Hokuto Zhimomi on March 3, 2017 has been resolved amicably, according to a press release. Therefore, all the FIR/case and resentments relating to the issue will be withdrawn with immediate effect, stated the release issued by Vekhosayi Nyekha, president, Western Chakhesang Hoho and Vikato K Achumi, general secretary, Western Sumi Hoho.
To settle the issue, Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) and Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) had called for a sitting with both the parties on September 1. “The two Hohos consented with both the parties and came to an amicable end,” the press release said.
In the meeting, Pothita gave a brief statement of the incident, where he was assaulted while he with some workers was working in a peaceful manner on his plot which has a valid government land patta, the release informed. On the other hand, Hokuto admitted that he had physically assaulted Pothita, and also used demeaning words against former CM late Vamuzo. In this regard, he sincerely apologized and expressed “highest respect” for the departed leader, it added.
WSH also sought forgiveness for the assault committed upon Pothita Vamuzo by one of their members and asked to reconcile in the true spirit of brotherhood and friendship.
The Hohos have thanked God for guiding both the parties to positively come forward and settle the issue and to forgive and reconcile in the true spirit of brotherhood and friendship.
