Kohima, July 27 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton inaugurated the Aadhar based biometric system installed in the Police headquarters, Kohima on July 27.
Patton mentioned the issues relating to maintenance of law and order which needs to be improved and stressed on the investigation of pending high profile cases which should be brought to a logical conclusion at the earliest. He also added that monthly progress report should be submitted to the government, a release here said.
He later stressed on the traffic management and regulation and expressed his concerns on the encroachment of police land by civilian where strict action should be initiated against the encroachers, the release added.
DGP, Nagaland T J Longkumer, IPS stated that as police officers, we enjoy all the privileges, so it is our duty to provide ‘security, service and sacrifice’ to our people. Home Commissioner Ramakrishnan, IAS reiterated the need to be vigilant and pro-active in the matters of mob lynching and to keep on working for the welfare of the jawans.
