Peren, March 10 (MExN): Peren District Football League 3.0 continued with two matches on Tuesday, with Lekie Mtei FC and Friends of Society registering victories.
In the first match, Lekie Mtei FC defeated Mbaupunngwa FC 1–0. Striker Aden scored the lone goal in the 14th minute after an early attacking move put pressure on the Mbaupunngwa defence. The match remained evenly contested, but Lekie Mtei FC held on to their lead to secure the first points.
In the second match, Friends of Society beat Poilwa FC 2–1. Henkhohao opened the scoring in the fourth minute after receiving a well-timed pass from Gaichuipou. Two minutes later, a cross from Nehminlen resulted in an own goal by Haominlen, giving Friends of Society a two-goal advantage.
Poilwa FC reduced the margin in the 36th minute when Rangliakum headed in a cross from Ngamminlun. Despite sustained pressure from Poilwa FC in search of an equaliser, the Friends of Society defence held firm to secure the win.
Wednesday’s fixtures will see Football Plus Academy take on Nchangram Lun FC at 1 pm, followed by Lekie Mtei FC versus Kingdom Stewards at 3 pm.
