Dimapur, December 10 (MExN): Phek District Legal Services Authority organized legal awareness programme at Akhen on December 6 and Kanjang, Lephori and Matikhru villages on December 7.
During the same, one of the resource persons, N Longshithung Ezung, Chairman PDLSA explained the activities of State legal services, like awareness camps, free legal aid to poor etc and on motor vehicle act and village council act.
Resource persons, Mamangsingson, Retainer Lawyer PDLSA, Chitho, Advocate, Vethothi Vero, Panel Lawyer, PDLSA, Kenie Swuro, Panel Lawyer, N Miss Rukuvolu Vero, Panel Lawyer PDLSA spoke on various topics, namely importance and functions of Legal Services, NSLSA Scheme, RTI, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, Consumer Protection.
All together 260 beneficiaries attended the awareness programme.
