Peren, April 29 (MExN): The Peren District Voluntary Consumers Organisation (PDVCO) has cautioned traders in Peren district on hike in prices of essential commodities. Based on “verbal complaints” from consumers on sudden rise of prices, PDVCO said that it is creating panic.
Noting that some unscrupulous traders are taking undue advantage of the partial lockdown imposed by the state government, the organisation in a press release clarified that the central government has clearly notified there will be no hike in prices of essential commodities and this sector will not be affected by the pandemic. While condemning such nonchalant practice, it urged the consumers to be vigilant against any dubious designs instrumented by the traders.
