Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): Peace Channel has trained around 20 MSW graduates from North East Institute of Social Science and Research (NEISSR) with the aim to introduce the “new chapters” in all districts of Nagaland.
Rev Dr CP Anto, founder and director of Peace Channel said that they are also given “seed money” to start its branches officially in all the districts which they plan to expand to NE and in the country gradually.
Inorder to achieve Peace Channel’s Mission 2030 - “To make Nagaland a peaceful state in India,” it has taken a new approach in implementing peace activities in educational and communities in Nagaland by training teachers and community leaders as “peace builders.” Peace Channel has trained over 1.5 lakh students, 1850 teachers and 770 community and religious leaders.
In view of making the mission a reality, Rev Fr Anto has requested all the government departments, educational institutions, churches and communities to cooperate and collaborate to achieve the mission
Towards this goal, Peace Channel conducted eight-day workshop which concluded in Peace Channel Conference hall, Dimapur on February 17. The resource persons were Kishor Das, Garrol Lotha, Gugu Vitono Haralu, Medhi Hussain, Ng. Alan Paul.
During the valedictory function the participants were awarded certificate which was felicitated by Rev Fr John Lasutho Poji, Vice Principal, NEISSR.
