‘Peace pre-requisite to attract outside investors’

Rio inaugurates ‘Big Bazaar’  in Nagaland

  Morung Express News Dimapur | June 30   Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, today said “peace” is a pre-requisite if Nagaland wants to attract outside investors and companies to invest in the state. The Chief Minister said in a peaceful environment more companies and investors from outside the state would be willing to foray into Nagaland. Side by side, local businessmen and entrepreneurs too can thrive, Rio said.   Rio, who inaugurated ‘Big Bazaar’, one of the country’s leading hypermarket chains by Future Group, located at Nagi House, Circular Road, welcomed the bold initiative of Future Group to set up its store in Nagaland. Rio assured that his government would provide security and protection to investors who come to invest or set up business in the state.   He said setting up of ventures like BB in the state would go a long way in alleviating the unemployment problem in the state. The Chief Minister said since employment if government sector in the state has become saturated the educated local youth should no longer fight over government jobs but instead look for employment avenues in the private and corporate sectors.   Rio said BB with its slogan “more for less” is a good sign as it would herald in a competitive spirit among business houses and marts, which would enhance customers’ shopping experience.   The Chief Minister also lauded Neibu Nagi, property owner of BB Dimapur, and said Nagi’s business acumen should been eye opener for other Naga businessmen and upcoming entrepreneurs.   Rio observed that many Naga businessmen or entrepreneurs fail in the long run as they try to be “Jack of all trades” and are not focused of consistent. He was of the opinion that “integrity and consistency” are the keys to succeed in business.   CEO-East, fbb & Big Bazaar, Manish Agarwal, highlighted the range of products and offers customers can avail at the one-stop shopping destination. Earlier, Rev Miazielie Sakhrie, invoked God’s blessings.   Post inauguration, the scene outside BB store resembled a stampede as prospective customers jostled to enter the store.
