Pension Adalat in Kohima inaugurated

Kohima, August 23 (MExN): Joining the nationwide Pension Adalats, the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (Pension Cell) the P&AR Department in collaboration with Accountant General Office today conducted a one day ‘Pension Adalat’ at AG Office, Kohima for redressal of pension grievances.
The Adalat has taken up fresh pension cases as well as revision of pension cases, a press release from Senior Accounts Officer, Pension Section stated. Various departments attended the meeting and discussed with the pensioners about the pending issues and to sort out the problems as early as possible. The retired personnel brought their pension documents and other vital papers to get their grievances solve on the spot during the day-long camp.
Representative Officers from the P&AR Department, Treasury & Accounts Department and Nodal Officers of more than 30 state government departments attended the Adalat, where pension cases were taken up for spot prompt and quick settlement within the framework extant rules and provisions.
The All India Pension Adalat is one of the largest exercises for pensioners’ welfare ever undertaken by the Government as part of good governance dedicated to central government pensioners.
