Peren, April 30 (MExN): In view of the rapid surge of COVID-19 cases in the State and the urgent need for taking necessary measures for preventing the spread in the district, Peren District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19 held a meeting at DC’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS on April 30.
According to a DIPR report, DSO, Dr DK apprised the members on the latest consolidated guidelines, revised SOP for returnees and travelers and revised guidelines for home isolation issued by the Home Department.
In compliance to the standing guidelines on movement of public transportation services/passenger vehicles, the board agreed to limit the passenger capacity to 50% of total occupancy with strict adherence of COVID-19 appropriate behaviours. It decided to enhance the passenger rate wherein ADC Jalukie was entrusted to discuss with the Taxi Association. The board decided to implement 30% of the sitting capacity/100 persons in religious places or place of worship subject to strict SOP.
Regarding entry of returnees/ travelers into the district without the knowledge of the concerned authority, the house has directed village councils/urban local bodies to identify any new returnees arriving in their respective jurisdiction and also immediately report to the DTF. It also requested the Additional SP to inform the Police Personnel manning the check-gates to strictly monitor inbound travelers and also maintain proper records of the persons entering.
The board also decided to remind again all the village/ ward authority to set up Village Task Force/Ward Task Force and assist the DTF/SDTF in whatever way possible.
Meanwhile, DIO Peren, Dr Kiholi, highlighted that a total of 6,734 doses have been administered till now and a total of 7,490 doses of COVID vaccine are currently available.
