The champions of the Peren Government College 35th annual games and sport meet held from March 16 to 18.
Peren, March 18 (MExN): The Peren Government College (PGC) organised its 35th annual games and sport meet with the theme ‘the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory’ at Peletkie village football ground from March 16 to 18.
A press release from the college stated that the three-day event began with formal programme with Chetrailube Ndang, Asst. Games & Sports Secretary, PGCSU as chair, invocation by Keyipeiraile, PGC EU Prayer Secretary; song by Keyipeiraibe; Lighting of Torch by Rangzaibeule and Oath Taking by Games & Sports Secretary, PGCSU.
Albert, Vice Principal, PGC exhorted the students and shared his view on the importance of sports in students’ life, encourage the students to give their best not only in studies but also in extracurricular activities such as sports and games to excel in life.
In the group level competition, the overall champion was bagged by ‘Hearts’ Group and in individual level, Kenzeu and Rangzaibeule of 6th Semester bagged the individual champion position for boys and girls category respectively.
